Welcome to the Sonoqui Privacy Policy

When you use the Sonoqui app, you trust us with your information. The Sonoqui app was created by Post Modern, Inc. We provide this Privacy Policy so you can understand what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. By using or accessing our services you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you hereby consent that we will collect, use, and share your information in the manner listed in this document.

If we change the Privacy Policy in the future, we will post the new document on our website at www.Sonoqui.com. Some Sonoqui users are not required to provide us with an email address, so we won’t have the opportunity to notify all users of new policies. Updated legal notices still govern your use of the app, and you are still responsible for reading and understanding them. If you use the app after any changes to the Privacy Policy have been posted, that means you agree to all elements of the updated policy.

Information we Collect

We collect information to provide better services to our users, which includes the event planners who pay for and make our services available to their friends, guests, and clients, and to the end users who participate by using the Sonoqui app.

Information we collect and keep comes from:

Information you give us, like the personal info you provide when you register and set up a new user account and your account settings. This includes but is not limited to your name, email address, phone number, and third party account information from your social media accounts.

Information we get when you use the app, like knowing where and when you used the app, what events you participate in, and where you share your photos.

Information from your social media profile profile (e.g., name, username, e-mail address, photo, gender, birthday, location, your list of friends, people you follow and/or who follow you, the posts or the 'likes' you make) as part of the operation of the app. PMI may also obtain non-personally identifiable information (e.g., content viewed) from your interaction with our content through the app. You acknowledge and agree that PMI may share the information about you that it obtains from Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media network you connect to via the app. You acknowledge that you have read and understand the Sonoqui Privacy Policy, and that your information may be shared freely between PMI and its clients.

How do we use this Information?

We send you information that helps you utilize the app, such as an email to confirm your account. We may reach out to you to see if you want to take advantage of some app features and that we think will be of interest to you.

We look at trends to see how we can improve the services we offer and tailor make experiences that we think you will enjoy. We also look at participation information in aggregate, noting trends based on things like location, age, and gender.

We won’t rent or sell your Personal Information to anyone in a way that identifies you as an individual. However, we may share your Personal Information with third parties as part of aggregated information so they can know how and when certain groups use our app. So our goal is to recognize trends and address them, not to enable others to reach you directly with marketing materials.

We work with some partner companies to facilitate app capabilities, such as implementing credit card transactions or logging in using your Facebook or Twitter credentials. In such cases your personal information will be utilized only to implement the intended service, and we don’t give them permission to use your information for any other use. However, we don’t have any control over the policies and practices of third party businesses as to their privacy, so if you choose to take part in any transaction or service relating to an affiliated business, please review their policy.

We reserve the right to share Personal Information if we have a good-faith belief that we must share the information to comply with a law, regulation, or legal process.

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or other transfer of assets it is possible that Personal Information will be among the assets that come under new control and users will be notified of the change in Personal Policy.

Certain user profile information, including your name, location, and any video or image content that such user has uploaded to the Services, may be displayed to other users. Your account privacy settings may allow you to limit who can see the Personal Information in your user profile and/or what information in your user profile is visible to others. Please remember that any content you upload to your public user profile becomes publicly available, and can be collected and used by others. Your user name may also be displayed to other users if you send messages or comments or upload images or videos through the Services and other users can contact you through messages and comments. Additionally, if you sign into the Services through a third party social networking site or service, your list of “friends” from that site or service may be automatically imported to the Services, and such “friends,” if they are also registered users of the Services, may be able to access certain non-public information you have entered in your Services user profile. Again, we do not control the policies and practices of any other third party site or service.

Use of content you generate

“User Content” means any communications, images, videos, sounds, check-ins, and all the material and information that you upload or post through the app. You hereby grant Post Modern, Inc. a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, paid-up, non-exclusive license, including the right to sublicense to third parties, and right to reproduce, fix, adapt, modify, translate, reformat, create derivative works from, manufacture, introduce into circulation, publish, distribute, sell, license, sublicense, transfer, rent, lease, transmit, stream, publicly display, publicly perform, provide access to electronically, broadcast, communicate to the public by telecommunication, display, perform, enter into computer memory, and use and practice such User Content as well as all modified and derivative works thereof. You hereby represent and warrant that you have, and have the documentation to establish, all necessary rights to grant the license referenced in the preceding sentence. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, you hereby waive any moral rights, artist’s rights, rental rights, or similar rights (if any) you may have in any User Content. Your User Content will be posted to the social media network of your choice, based on which network(s) you have linked to your Sonoqui account, as well as www.Sonoqui.com and the event website and social media feeds. On Twitter, your content may be re-tweeted multiple times on the day of the event to ensure that as many of your followers as possible see your content.

Is Personal Information about me secure?

Your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. If you access your account via a third party site or service, you may have additional or different sign-on protections via that third party site or service. You must prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password and/or other sign-on mechanism appropriately and limiting access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

We endeavor to protect the privacy of your account and other Personal Information we hold in our records. We employ SSL to encrypt communications between our servers and client applications, and do our best to protect our servers so third parties can't access your private information. However, we cannot guarantee complete security — unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.
